The Victor Stafford Reid collection comprises of materials related to the Jamaican writer. The materials include some of his personal and business correspondence. In addition there are other documents dating from 1937-1987, providing insight into his literary works, general and business concerns. This collection is comprised of correspondence, manuscripts, essays, photographs, historical data, newspaper clippings, scrapbooks, screen plays, brochures, newsletters, magazines, pamphlets, scripts of radio broadcasts, film outline and screen plays, remarks, diary entries and diaries used as note book. In addition it contains research materials from 1947-1987 especially those relating to "Horses of the Morning" which is a biography of the late premier of Jamaica Norman Washington Manley. The collection also contains undated materials. These papers document his career as a writer and life work.
