MS 8402 comprises corrected handwritten drafts of de Boissière's books No saddles for kangaroos, Rum and Coca-Cola, and "Homeless in paradise" (unpublished); typescript of "An exceptional Australian", a tribute to writer Alan Marshall; a small quantity of correspondence, including letters from Alan Marshall, David Martin, Mary Gilmore and Katharine Susannah Prichard; "Tales of a visionary: an autobiography" (unpublished); letters from Jack Beasley, 1959-1960 and 1979-1995; and, photograph of a group of realist writers, Melbourne, 1950, including Walter Kaufmann and Frank Hardy (2 boxes).
The Acc08.030 instalment comprises annotated typescripts for various of de Boissière's novels and screenplays; diaries; correspondence; reviews; and, photographic prints and negatives (11 boxes).
