Content notes

Selvon corresponded with and met AW through her selection of his short story, ‘The Village Washer’, in The Sun’s Eye, and, especially, through republication of some of his early fiction, first publication of his later fiction, at Longmans. Correspondence continued when AW worked, freelance, as consultant for Longman Caribbean Writers Series.
